Wacky Race 6 is a 4.1m Loop in the Castle Grounds. Clock starts at 17:30.
This is a 7 race series with 5 out of 7 counting - although this year the last race will count for everyone (in a similar way to the World Triathlon series).
For anyone that doesn't know, this is a very friendly handicapped race series. This means anyone has a decent chance of winning regardless of ability level. A steady rate of progress should give the best scores. All entrants are given their own start times dependent on recent best times. The aim is that most people should finish at approximately the same time.
The races are open to all adults - you don't need to be a SRAC member although SRAC / @leisure members get a discount. Some races may be suitable for children.
Most races are 5k with a few other distances up to 10k. There will generally be one race a month.
This year there is a nominal charge per race.
Where possible participants are requested to register and pay online to make organising a bit easier, although as long as you get your entry into the basket I can get you on the start list & you can pay on the day. If you end up not being able to make it after all you can get your entry deferred to the next race or get a refund. Although we want to encourage online entries you will still be able to just turn up on the night if you unexpectedly find you can make it after all.
